Multi-Skills Success!

We were dazzled by our Key Stage 1 children who took part in an inter-school multi-skills competition at Shenley Academy this week.  The children participated in a range of running, throwing, jumping and balancing activities, demonstrating fantastic skills and teamwork.  Our Year 2 team won their competition and our Year 1 team came 2nd in their competition!  Well done everyone, a fantastic effort.  Enjoy the pictures.

3rd Place at Gymnastics Competition!

Children from Years 3 & 4 were proud to represent our school this evening at the School Games Gymnastics Competition at Colmers School.  They each performed fantastically in their floor and vault routines, securing our school third place overall.  Well done children, you were excellent ambassadors for our school.  A big thank you also to Miss Clifton (Year 2 teacher), Harriett (student volunteer) and Stephanie Pitter (Zeynai’s mum) for making this inspirational opportunity possible and preparing and supporting the children at the competition.  Enjoy the pictures!  Vault videos to follow…

Lunch time Cricket

We are fortunate to have Harriett, a student from the University of Birmingham, visit our school every Wednesday and Thursday to support PE lessons in Nursery and Reception and lead lunch time sessions on the MUGA.  The children have enjoyed practicing their catching, fielding and batting skills and playing cricket games.  Come and join us!

Out of School Sporting Success

We are always keen to acknowledge and celebrate sports participation and successes out of school at community clubs.  Here is Rajan Palk from Year 2 with his trophy for being the ‘Star Player’ at his weekend football training sessions at the High School.  Please see Mr Steadman for further information regarding these sessions and how to get involved.

Please send Mr Steadman your ‘Healthy Selfies’ of you participating in sport and physical activity out of school and he will put them on the Sports Blog to promote the opportunities to other children.
