Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed their football lesson with the ‘Your Sport’ coaches last week. Here they are practising their ball control and dribbling skills. Knee on the ball! Foot on the ball! Tummy on the ball! Head on the ball! Our school has now created a link with their weekend Mini-Soccer Centre at the High School. If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, please ask Mr Steadman for more information on how your child can get involved.
Our girls had a fantastic time at the recent Birmingham City Ladies FC v Liverpool Ladies FC match. They played friendly matches with other ‘Sister’ clubs, were invited to do a lap of honour around the pitch at half-time, met their idols and sang their hearts out while watching the game. Thanks Kerys for the opportunity, it was inspirational!

Our after school sports clubs are now full to capacity! If you were unlucky to get a place on your chosen club this time, Mrs Adams has a reserve list so that you will be guaranteed a place next time.
Also, for Year 5 and 6 children, watch out for the letters for our new ‘Quicksticks’ Hockey Club starting on Tuesday 27th September, delivered by an external hockey specialist. We will then be choosing children to represent our school in the School Games Level 2 ‘Quicksticks’ competition on 20th October.
Our girls were excited to be visited and coached by Kerys Harrop, the Birmingham City Ladies FC vice-captain, during their after school football club this week. Kerys passed on tips during fun ball control, dribbling and shooting activities, and gave the girls some ‘homework’ – practice their ‘rainbow’ flicks! Thank you Kerys from all of the girls.
Get involved, get INSPIRED!
