School Games Bronze Award

We are delighted to announce that our school has been awarded the School Games Bronze Award for our commitment to the development of competitive sport during 2015-2016.  Well done to all children and staff who have either take part and supported school sport over the past year.  We look forward to more children accessing school sport opportunities next year and striving for the Silver Award!

Year 3 & 4 Primary Schools Sports Festivals

Years 3 & 4 had a fantastic time at the annual Primary Schools Sports Festival at Lordswood Girls school.  The organisers and students delivering the activities commented on how amazed they were by the energy and positive attitude of all our children.  Well done everyone – you were fantastic role models for our school!

Guests at Birmingham City Ladies match

Through our school’s affiliation with Birmingham City Ladies FC, our girls’ football squad were invited to be mascots and flag bearers at their recent match against Arsenal FC which was shown live on the BT Sport channel.  They all had such a lovely time leading the teams out, meeting the players (and the mascot!) and taking part in a penalty shoot-out on the pitch at half time.

Friendly Football Match

The Year 3 & 4 footballers played St. Michael’s school in a friendly match on Friday and came out on top 3-2.  It was a very committed performance by the team with stand out players Mohammed Zaid, Kai Burton-Wood in his very first game for the team and Jacob Aldridge in goal.  Well done everyone!
