Thank you Mr Light we really enjoyed ourselves.
Well done to everybody who to part. Congratulations everyone!
It was great to see today’s sports day being supported by so many enthusiastic parents. Thanks to Mrs Pitter too for helping to organise a parents 5-4-3-2-1 cone dash race too. Well done to the winning England team!
Today saw the start of the year 5 and 6 tennis club with Mrs Slater. Great news, all our new tennis equipment arrived just in time!
Mr Steadman and the year 6 football team had their final Thursday training session today before their tournament next week. Good luck!
To celebrate National school sports week, the teacher’s after school sports club had a quick game of dodgeball to warm up followed by a very competitive game of benchball. Regulars Mr Down, Miss Brown, Miss Newton, Mr Bagwell, Miss Newton and Mr Potts were joined my Mrs Nicholls and Mrs Kells. Thanks for joining us and hope to see you again next week!
Thank you children for being so well behaved, enthusiastic and sporty during today’s assemblies. It was fantastic to see the whole school taking part in wake up, shake up. I hope you enjoyed the Big Jubilee Dance!
The children in Year 5 have worked out why England didn’t do so well at this years World Cup. It’s because England have the least experiences squad out of all the countries in Group D. England has only a mean number of appearances of 24 compared to 29 appearances (mean) for Italy, 31 for Costa Rica and a huge 41 caps for Uruguay. Can see the children working for Opta Stats in years to come!
For our carrot party celebration we split into our sports day teams and took part in the 5B World Cup participating in dodgeball, football and handball. I hope you had fun!
